This community, which sits in Franklin, Delaware and Union counties, was first settled back in 1802.

The Sells family of Huntingdon, PA settled the area a few years later and it was actually John Sells who is credited with naming the community, after his birthplace.

Dublin began as a small mill town and remained that way for several decades. Then, with the construction of Interstate 270, the population boomed. That growth was fueled by the acquisition of major corporate headquarters like Ashland Inc and Wendy’s International.

The growth of Muirfield Village Golf Club and its residential subdivision also helped fuel growth in the area.

Today, Dublin has a population of more than 42,000 people.

The Rec Center is also a popular place to visit on the weekends. It has the distinction of being home to the Dublin Sea Dragons, a year round competitive swim team.

The Dublin City School District serves children living in this community. The district is comprised of 13 elementary schools, 4 middle schools and 3 high schools.
